Students in the plumbing course will learn about the plumbing profession, safety, tools of the trade, plumbing math, drawings, plastic pipes and fittings, copper tube and fittings, cast iron pipes and fittings, steel pipes and fittings, plumbing fixtures, removal of liquid and solid waste, and water distribution. Core Craft Skills is required to be taken concurrently with the Plumbing class. Core Craft skills include basic safety, introduction to construction math, hand tools, power tools, and construction drawings. Upon successful completion, graduates will be eligible to sit for two NCCER certifications, the Core Craft Skills and Plumbing Certification exam.
