How to Become a Student Admissions/Records Website

Criminal Justice CREDIT FOR PRIOR LEARNING

Students can earn college credit for related in-field training already completed.

Several Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) certified courses can be used as credit for course completion applied toward a forensic science and/or police science degree at New River Community College.

Complete the Credit for Prior Learning form and send your transcripts to Assistant Professor Eric Snow at esnow@nr.edu.

  • ADJ 110: Introduction to Law Enforcement, 3 credits
  • ADJ 190: Internship in Criminal Justice, 5 credits

  • ADJ 236: Principles of Criminal Investigation, 3 credits
  • HLT 100: First Aid & CPR, 3 credits
