Bachelors degree. Preparation in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, or other subject area(s) consistent with the needs of specific teaching assignment(s).
Bachelors degree with a major in Education or Human Services preferred. Successful teaching experience and enthusiasm for teaching. Good communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated competency in working with students from one or more of the following populations: adults seeking a high school diploma; students with basic skills deficiencies and other barriers to educational success; incarcerated individuals; general adult education. Ability to handle diversity in culture, values, experiences, and learning needs; be flexible and open to new strategies to promote learning; and encourage and support a diversity of learners.
Teach Adult Education courses. Responsible for academic skills assessment, contextualized lesson planning, and GED/Workforce Readiness classroom instruction; and assist students in developing career pathways that accelerate the educational and career advancement of the individual.
Hours: Flexible, weekdays only, days and evenings
This is not a telework position.
Location: Floyd, Montgomery, Pulaski Counties and/or the city of Radford
$22.20 hourly
