New River Community College offers degrees, diplomas,
and/or certificates in a variety of occupational technical and university
parallel/college transfer areas. The Distance Education Program
provides students with the means to complete all of the course requirements
for the degrees listed below. Distance education courses can also apply to any of
the other programs of study offered by NRCC. Students should consult
their advisor regarding transferability of specific courses to other
colleges.

Associate of Arts and Sciences in General Studies - designed for students
who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university.
Associate of Arts and Sciences in Liberal Arts - designed for students planning to
transfer to a four-year college or university with a major in the liberal arts area.
Associate of Arts and Sciences in Education - designed for students planning to transfer to a
four-year college or university with a major in the education area.
Associate of Arts and Sciences in Science - designed for students planning to transfer
to a four-year college or university with a major in the science area.
Associate of Applied Science in Business Management - designed for students seeking full-time employment
in a business management position upon completion of the community college curriculum.
